À propos de l'auteur

Dr. Robert Wandberg currently serves as the Language Diverse Literacy Coach and School Health Education Curriculum Consultant for the Columbia Heights School District in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. He is a former health education classroom teacher and state health education curriculum director with the Minnesota Department of Education.In addition to his numerous state, national, and international presentations, Dr. Wandberg has authored 12 middle/high school level health-related textbooks for low-literacy students. He has co-authored two university-level textbooks focusing on effective classroom practice and several professional journal articles, many of which focus on diverse students in the general education classroom. Dr. Wandberg also teaches several graduate education courses at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Rohwer was professor and chair of the Health and Human Performance Department at the University of St. Thomas. He taught courses for pre-service and in-service health education. In addition to his administrative and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Rohwer supervised student teachers and internship experiences. He also served as consultant with the St. Paul School district in a federally funded ELL/ESL program. Dr. Rohwer has over 30 publications in the health education field along with having received numerous research grants focusing on health behavior prevention initiatives among youth. His awards include: Outstanding Health Educator in Wyoming, Outstanding Higher Education Professional in Minnesota, Who’s Who in America, the National Cancer Society Honor Award, and Central District’s AAHPERD Outstanding Scholar Award.
