Dr. Ruth Nass is a pediatric neurologist at NYU Medical center specializing in developmental problems, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She has a large clinical practice but has also researched extensively about ADHD, particularly with respect to its relationship to tics and Tourette Syndrome. She speaks on the national circuit about ADHD and learning disabilities and has authored many papers and chapters on the subject. This is her first book for parents.

Dr. Fern Leventhal, a neuropsychologist, is employed at NYU Medical Center as well as the New York State Psychiatric Institute. In addition, she has a private practice specializing in pediatric assessment. During the last several years, Dr. Leventhal's research interest has focused on Nonverbal Learning Disabilities. Despite a busy personal and professional life, she has also written several articles in conjunction with Dr. Nass.
