Venesy, MD, FACC-Director, Heart Failure Program; Director Cardiac Care Unit, Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington, Massachusetts, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine David M. Venesy, MD is a Senior Staff Cardiologist at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, where he is the Director of the Heart Failure Program, and is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Care Unit. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine, is also an Adjunct Staff Attending Physician at the Cardiomyopathy and Cardiac Transplantation Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Venesy received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in Medicine at Tuft-New England Medical Center. He also performed his Cardiology fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center, with a special concentration in Advanced Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging and Congestive Heart Failuere and Cardiac Transplantation. Dr. Venesy is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. He is also a member of the Heart Failure Society of America, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American Society of Echocardiography. He has published multiple articles, abstracts, and reviews regarding congestive heart failure. Dr. Venesy s areas of research interest include novel medical therapies for heart failure, devices for the treatment of advanced heart failure, and innovative techniques for remote monitoring of patients with heart failure. He also has been extensively involved developing medical education programs and curricula for post-graduate and senior clinicians. Fredric D. Gordon, MD-Lahey Clinic Medical Center Dr. Fredric D.
