Synopsis

Top of the Line Hunting Collectibles contains the best of the finest hunting collectibles. Waterfowling decoys from the four major flyways; including duck, goose, swan, and shorebird decoys, as well as crow hunting decoys and dove decoys, are discussed. Vintage game bird calls used to lure ducks, geese, crows, turkey, and shorebirds represent an important collecting field. Advertising campaigns by the early arms and ammunition companies created outstanding posters, calendars, pin backs, gunpowder tins, and shot shell boxes. Packed with more than 1,000 top-quality color photographs and original vintage black-and-white photographs, and a price guide, Top of the Line Hunting Collectibles is a valuable reference book for any collector or antique dealer. This book will give the novice a comprehensive overview of what hunting collectibles are available. The seasoned collector will appreciate viewing quality pieces from private collections that are rarely available to the public. An extensive bibliography and appendix provide valuable information sources, including organizations, periodicals, and auction companies.
