This book contains 88 papers covering the past seven years (2001-2007) of research on the varying aspects of distributed embedded systems. Topics covered include: Controller Design/Development ; Software Design/Development ; Communication Networks/Systems ; Model-Based Hardware/Software/Network Developments ; System Testing/Diagnostics ; Implementation Examples. The book also includes editor Ronald K. Jurgen's introduction (Distributed Embedded Systems: The Key to Future Automotive Electronics) and a concluding section on the trends impacting future distributed automotive embedded systems.
