Featuring boundary-breaking artists and scholars, Making History collects poems, artist statements, and portfolios that showcase thoughtful understandings of Black aesthetics, Black contemporary art's institutional presence, and perspectives on modern and historical art practices throughout Canada.
Making History explores new approaches to the relationship between institutions, artists, and audiences while emphasizing collaboration, resisting exclusionary curatorial practices, and allowing multiple perspectives to bring about transformative change.
