Biographie de l'auteur

Né en 1960 à Boston, Kurt Busiek est l'un des plus célèbres et populaires scénaristes de bandes dessinées américaines, particulièrement fasciné par l'âge d'or des super-héros. Il fait ses débuts sur Green Lantern, avant de prendre en main certains titres phare Marvel et DC, parmi lesquels The Untold Tales of Spider-Man, Superman, Thunderbolts, JLA et Iron Man. Son passage sur The Avengers, qui durera quatre ans, a laissé un souvenir mémorable dans l'esprit du public, tout comme sa propre série Image Astro City. Il a reçu diverses récompenses aux Harvey et Eisner Awards en tant que scénariste. Marvels, son chef-d'oeuvre réalisé avec le dessinateur Alex Ross, a remporté un grand nombre de prix dans le monde entier et est l'une des séries Marvel les plus rééditées. Né aux Philippines, Jay Anacleto fait ses premières armes chez l'éditeur Image Comics. Son style pictural et très réaliste est la clé du succès des mini-séries Aria et Atheno Inc. Son coup de crayon rehausse la sensualité des personnages féminins et il exprime brillamment sa maîtrise de l'univers fantasy dans le Graphic Novel Spawn : Godslayer.
