Biographie de l'auteur

John McGann is a Boston-based mandolinist and guitarist, composer, arranger, teacher and transcriber; and is a member of The Wayfaring Strangers (with Matt Glaser, Tony Trischka, Andy Statman, etc.) and Rust Farm (with Chris Moore, Richard Gates and Dave Mattacks). He won 1st Place at the National Mandolin Championship, Winfield Kansas (1985). John writes for Flatpicking Guitar Magazine, Mandolin Magazine, and Acoustic Guitar Magazine as well as Mel Bay Publications, including an upcoming book on the octave mandolin.
