Laura Karr fell in love with cooking at an early age. Before she even started kindergarten, she learned the basics by helping her family cater weddings. This business lasted several years and her skills were further advanced when her grandmother accepted a position as head chef at a Northern California college. After graduating from college herself, Laura pursued her other love-writing. She mastered this craft through a series of writing jobs at magazines and writing advertising copy at a major global agency. Recently, Laura decided to combine her two passions, and the result is her first book: THE CAN OPENER GOURMET.
