THERESA FOY DIGERONIMO, M.Ed., is adjunct professor of English at the William Paterson University of New Jersey. Schaefer and DiGeronimo are the coauthors of How to Talk to Your Kids About Really Important Things (Jossey--Bass, 1997) and recipients of child magazine's award 'best parenting book of 1992.'
