FERDINAND TESORO is the Measurement and Performance Improvement Consultant at Dell University, the training organization of Dell Computer Corporation. He developed the ROI measurement process at Dell which was used to evaluate the effectiveness of situational sales negotiation, teleselling, new hire sales training, and target account selling programs. He is presently managing the design, development, and implementation of the Global Performance Measurement System for Dell University and is the vice president for programs in the Austin Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI)fir ISPI Austin Chapter. Ferdinand has consulted with clients such as Shell Products Training, Amoco, and Texaco. He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Design and Quality Assurance from Purdue University. He lives in Austin, Texas. TOOTSON JACK is the Director for Regional Operations, Dell University, Dell Computer Corporation. He manages corporate communication, marketing, metrics, and financial operations for the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific region. He is also currently involved with the development of comprehensive competency models for all business segments and lines of businesses at Dell. Jack has served on the editorial boards for Workforce Training News, Corporate University Exchange, and Academy of Management Executive. He is a member of International Society for Performance Improvement, American Society for Training and Development, Academy of Management and National Press Club. Jack was in the Human Resources Development doctoral program at George Washington University and completed his M.Ed. at Northern Illinois University. He lives in Austin, Texas.
