Max Cryer is the author of several best-selling books about language in New Zealand, as well as other works of social history. He hosts the 'Curious Questions' session every week on National Radio. Cherie Brown is a lecturer and researcher in English language education at the University of Otago. Akarana Vaega is an Auckland-based illustrator and animator.
