Synopsis

Long argues that the literary form and dynamics of biblical texts can and should make a difference in the kinds of sermons created from those texts, not only because of what the texts say but because of how they say it. Thomas G. Long is not only a popular preacher, but a premier teacher of preachers as well. He has taught at Columbia Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, and currently is the Bandy Professor of Preaching at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
