Présentation de l'éditeur

Wendell Karsen's missionary memoir provides an eyewitness, behind-the-scenes account of Christian witness for civil and religious rights in Taiwan and Hong Kong and for Christian presence through decades of militant Communist atheism in China. The intertwining of personal reflection with historical, cultural, and religious developments provides not only fascinating insight into the joys and dangers of missionary life during the era of the Cold War, but also a new perspective on the challenges facing churches in Asia today. Eugene P. Heideman (Reformed Church in America)
