Synopsis
The articles collected in this volume address issues of regional conflict in the Third World and ways of promoting the peaceful management and settlement of such conflicts. The volume discusses causes and resolution, and mechanisms for management. Six different instances of regional conflict are examined from different points of analysis. The contributors offer a variety of national perspectives, including American, Soviet, British, Israeli, Lebanese, Egyptian and Afghan.
