Amante P. Marinas Sr. is the author of nine other books on weapons and martial arts. He holds black belts in shorin-ryu karate and aikido and has been practicing his family's fighting system, Panandata, since he was eight years old. Based on his extensive experience, Marinas has designed and fabricated knives, axes, spears and other throwing implements.
