Synopsis

Each character is presented in a simple and clear way. Step-by-step diagrams show you how to write the character and boxes are provided for freehand writing practice. The English meaning and Hanyu Pinyin pronunciation are given along with key vocabulary compounds showing how the character is used in context. Practice and Review exercises reinforce the learning process and indexes at the back allow you to look up the characters by their English meanings and Hanyu Pinyin pronunciations.

À propos de l'auteur
Yi Ren taught and did research in Beijing for several years after graduating from Tsinghua University. Since moving to the U.S. she has been teaching Chinese for the past twenty years. This is her third book about Chinese language and culture.
