Bill McKibben, ex-staff writer for The New Yorker and author of the bestseller The End of Nature, is an environmentalist and writer focusing on global warming, alternative energy, and the risks associated with human genetic engineering. He was educated at Harvard and contributes regularly to The New York Times, Atlantic Monthly, Harper's, and Granta.
