Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. First Edition. Stated first edition, very good in a poor dust jacket. Gift inscription on front endpaper. On the bottom half of the copyright page and dedication page is a handwritten memory of meeting with Pratt, founder of the Carlisle Indian School. The handwriting is difficult to read, and the memoir is unsigned although it does reference Alice Marriott. The memoir is dated in either 1989 or 1980. The book has a small stain at the bottom of the second front endpaper, but is tight and square. The jacket has been repaired on the spine and the flaps are detached but present. A Brodart protector improves the appearance. $3.00 price on front flap. Includes a frontispiece portrait of Pratt and three other photographs, Appendices, Book List, and an Index; 285 pages. This is the 11th volume in the Civilization of the American Indian Series. N° de réf. du vendeur 024185
