Synopsis

Best known for his books Treasure Island, Kidnapped and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevenson also wrote some of the most beloved children's poems in the world. Most of them appeared in a classic book called A Child's Garden Of Verses, and now you will find 32 of them here, gloriously illustrated in full colour. Stevenson transforms a bed cover into a magical land, a shadow into a close friend, and a basket into a pirate ship. He writes about how hard it is to go to bed when it's still light outside and how great it is to go high up on a swing.
