Anne Elrod Whitney is an associate professor of language and literacy education at the Pennsylvania State University. James Fredricksen is an associate professor at Boise State University and codirector of the Boise State Writing Project. Leah Zuidema is associate provost and dean for curriculum and instruction at Dordt College.
