Jeffry Odell Korgen, MA, MSW, is director of social ministries for the National Pastoral Life Center in New York City. He has worked as a community organizer, parish youth minister and archdiocesan coordinator for social justice education. His articles on social ministry have appeared in such publications as Church, Social Policy, and Peacework.
