"Every successful journey begins with a clear destination and the determination to overcome all the obstacles and challenges along the way. Our Lenten journey to Easter is no exception....The forty days of Lent provide us with a unique opportunity to move closer to Christ Jesus, whose arms and heart are open to us each step of our journey," writes Barry Trick in this thoughtful little book meant to accompany us on our journey through each of the forty days of the Lenten season. For each day, starting on Ash Wednesday, there is a reading from Scripture followed by a reflection that might open the heart to personal prayer or open the soul to helpful thought. Written with love, insight, and devotion, this is a book that readers will return to year after year for its grace, honesty, and simplicity that leads them to rest more deeply in God's loving care. . +
