O.R. Melling is the author of six successful young adult novels including the four novels that make up The Chronicles of Faerie: The Hunter's Moon; The Summer King; The Lightbearer's Daughter and The Book of Dreams. She has won the Ruth Schwartz Award for best children's fiction and was shortlisted for the 1993 Mr. Christie Award. She lives in Ireland and visits Canada and the US often.
