Annaeliese Soros, the ex-wife of financier George Soros, is a highly regarded hostess in her own right whose interest in entertaining began when she was engaged to Soros, was honed during their marriage and now continues largely in support of musical interests and her close network of friends. Ms. Soros, an important contributor to the New York City Opera and the Metropolitan Opera, co-founded the Southampton Performing Arts Festival with Roger Samet and is on the board of Young Concert Artists, a group that supports the development of young classical musicians.
