The diary opens at Sarona on 1 April 1918. 1918 is the most travelled year, 71 places against 14 in the next busiest, and is spent at Wervicq, Auvelais, M.S. Eloi, Wannebecq and Train. 1919 is spent at Wahn, Solingen, Bergerhausen, Geistingen and Menden. It closes at Bergerhausen on 31 March 1919. Wahn is where it spent longest, 43 days across four separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 30 days at Solingen. In 1918 it is also recorded at Surafend Near Ludd, Kantara, Alexandria, Kaiser I Hind, Hmt Kaiser-I-Hind, Marseilles, Mosso Camp, Forest Montiers, Witte and Aire.
