Input-output (I-O) analysis is widely used to analyze and shape policies. Until recently, I-O models could be run only on mainframe computer systems, but with advances in microcomputing I-O analysis is now possible for colleges, agencies and local governments which lack access to mainframe computers. This book provides a synthesis of information about these models for economists, planners and consultants, both in government and in the private sector.
