Kathleen J. Fitzgerald is associate professor of sociology at Loyola University New Orleans. Her research and writing focuses on race, racism, and privilege, including the pedagogy of the sociology of race/ethnicity; the challenges surrounding racial genomics; social movements; and social inequalities along the lines of gender and sexuality. She is author of Beyond White Ethnicity: Developing a Sociological Understanding of Native American Identity Reclamation.
