Wetland restorations are an important part of natural resource conservation in the Midwest. However, many wetland restorations have had significant problems. This book is a guide to restoring wetlands in the southern portion of the prairie pothole region, covering Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Criteria for selecting suitable restoration sites, designing restorations, and evaluating restorations are presented here.
The book also provides information on plants, animals, soils, and hydrology of prairie potholes.
