Synopsis

It discusses in detail which drugs are available and the symptoms revealed by their abuse. It then provides a step-by-step guide to the period of denial and suggests ways to intervene. Included in the text are suggested methods of treatment and a discussion of the various ethical, legal and medical issues surrounding chemical addiction.
