George Ochoa holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University and an M.A. in English from the University of Chicago. He is the author or coauthor of more than 25 nonfiction books, including the New York Public Library's The Book of Answers and The Fall of Mexico City. Carter Smith has written numerous books on U.S. and world history. He also edited the five-volume Life and Times in 20th Century America, as well as atlases of African-American, Asian-American, and Hispanic-American history for Facts On File.
