Gray cloth boards with red lettering on cover and spine. Minor rubbing to edges; cloth is just starting to fray at ends of spine. Orange dust jacket with black lettering on spine. Jacket is wrapped in mylar and price clipped. One large tear to front panel; moderate chipping to edges; spine is faded; some scuffing and soiling. Tight binding and clean interior. Previous owner's name is stamped on top and bottom edges of text block and on front free endpaper, Laid in is an errata sheet. Includes 21 black-and-white photos and illustrations with the text. Harry C. James (1896-1978) was an author and conservationist who was one of the few white men to be accepted into the Hopi tribe. He was given the name "Honauwayma," which translates to "Walking Bear."
