Using Community Resources was first published in 1948. Minnesota Archive Editions uses digital technology to make long-unavailable books once again accessible, and are published unaltered from the original University of Minnesota Press editions.Number 6 in the Series on Individualization of EducationThe units of this bulletin were written by teachers from the first to sixth grade of the Tuttle school, the University of Minnesota experimental school from which the material is drawn. Each unit outlines carious activities for the schoolroom that will enable the various children to known and appreciate their community and its resources. The outlines, uniform from chapter to chapter, provide detailed instruction for programs in which the children, through interviews, trips to spots of interest in the community, hobby shows, and other experiences, learn about the people and the facilities of their community, which will be of use to them.
