GUY A. CARDWELL taught American literature at Tulane University, the University of Maryland, Washington University in St. Louis, and SUNY, Albany. He was also a guest professor at the University of Vienna, the University of Buenos Aires, and the National University of Mexico. Author of such books as The Man Who Was Mark Twain, Charleston Periodicals, 1795-1860, and Twins of Genius, Cardwell also wrote prize winning poetry and short stories.
