Considered the church's favorite, John's Gospel is "known too well"; its reception is often jaded, over familiar, and in need of rejuvenation. This book re-creates a sense of Johannine excitement that has become shopworn through overuse. If John's Gospel has become hackneyed, trite, or worn out in your study, pulpit, church, or classroom, The John You Never Knew allows it to come alive again. Learn to decode this gospel and rediscover the signs, symbols, and ciphers that allow its undercurrents to resurface. It is truly a book in which "babes may wade and elephants swim."
