Kate Huntington became an Anglophile at the tender age of 16 when her English teacher forced her to read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The experience changed Kate's life by teaching her the joy of truly excellent literature.
She attended St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she received a bachelor of arts degree in English. After she graduated, she made a living as a reporter and editor at a succession of community newspapers. Her love for Regency romances grew and she eagerly devoured every title she could get her hands on. When she was perilously close to turning 40, Kate resigned from her position as managing editor in order to pursue her lifelong dream of writing novels.
Kate fulfilled that dream with the publication of The Captain's Courtship in March 1999. Although it was her debut novel, Romantic Times Magazine labeled it a top pick for March. Her sophomore effort, The Lieutenant's Lady, was published in December 1999, and her first novella was included in the anthology Spring Kittens in 2000. In between author appearances and her busy writing schedule, Kate relaxes with her husband in a small town in Illinois.

If life were fair, beautiful Cassandra would be on her way to enjoying her first London Season instead of having an awkward breakfast with the man she was promised to long ago. Christopher Warrender's years a prisoner of war in France have done nothing for his table manners, though they have given him a bold, defiant spirit that Cassandra finds oddly compelling. In fact, she doesn't know whether to feel relief or indignation when Christopher angrily informs her that he has no intention of leaving one prison only to be trapped in a loveless marriage. She is free to pursue her Season in London while he in turn will entertain himself with a bevy of society beauties. Book. N° de réf. du vendeur 038356
