Synopsis

Crafters have traditionally spend long hours devoted to a single project such as creating a card, an envelope, a bookmark, and so on. In "By the Batch", author and designer Judi Kauffman proves that fabulous looking paper projects don't require hours upon hours of tedious, arduous work. As a matter of fact, "By the Batch" reveals innovative new ideas for creating fabulous cards (and envelopes, tags, and bookmarks) in batches, with impressive results. This book takes a unique approach to paper crafting by combining a wide range of materials, excellent design, and careful craftsmanship with fast techniques for creating multiples in one sitting. Each chapter includes a section called "By the Batch," which covers quick and efficient methods for making multiples. The wide range of techniques presented includes everything from the tried and true (rubber stamping) to the unexpected (polymer clayl), from the spontaneous (smudge-and-smear) to the whimsical (shaped cards). The features include: paper crafting is extremely popular among crafters; offers invaluable instruction and tips on how to safe time, and maximize efficiency; and fast, easy, innovative, and most importantly, attractive ideas and techniques.
