Dee Romito is an author of books for young readers from picture books to middle grade, including The Last Plastic Straw, which received a starred review from The Horn Book. Dee lives in her sometimes-oat-scented hometown of Buffalo, New York where you’ll likely find her taking a walk in the fresh air or researching ways to protect our planet. She’s certain each one of us can make a difference in the world and writes books to prove it. Mariona was born in beautiful Barcelona where she currently lives with her loving husband and son. She combines her work as an illustrator while teaching art and graphic design. Mariona has more than 40 illustrated books in Spain and other countries, including A Gift for Amma: Market Day In India by Meera Sriram and Barefoot Books Water by Christy Mihaly. When not illustrating, she is either dancing 5 Rhythms or learning to play the cello.
