Family problems and family violence are major global concerns that have a vast impact on both psychological and physical health, and economic well-being. Heather Foran, PhD, is the principal investigator of a project on couple functioning and psychopathology funded by the German Research Foundation at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany and a part-time consultant for the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.

Dr. Beach, PhD, is a faculty member in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Georgia and a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience investigating the role of social relationships in the development and maintenance of psychopathology, particularly depression and substance use disorders. He currently serves as Director of the William A. and Barbara R. Owens Institute for Behavioral Research, an interdisciplinary research institute.

Amy M. Smith Slep, PhD, co-founded and co-directs the Family Translational Research Group.

Dr. Heyman, PhD, is Professor at New York University. Dr. Heyman co-directs the Family Translational Research Group in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care.

Marianne Wamboldt, MD is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, as well as Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Children's Hospital Colorado.
