Vera S. Maass, PhD, born and raised in Berlin, Germany, is a clinical psychologist, licensed in Indiana as Health Service Provider in Psychology and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a National Board Certified Counselor and a diplomate and clinical supervisor on the American Board of Sexology. She received her PhD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and served a 1-year clinical internship at the University of Kentucky Medical School in the psychiatry department, under the direction of Maxie C. Maultsby, Jr., MD. During her training, she had individual supervision by Albert Ellis, PhD.Dr. Maass owns Living Skills Institute, Inc., a private practice agency in Indianapolis, and directs psychological services in a clinic that addresses sexual dysfunction issues. Dr. Maass is a member of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women. In her spare time she volunteers at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and provides guest lectures at a local university.
