James Hosek (Ph.D. Economics, University of Chicago) is a senior economist at Rand, editorinchief of the Rand Journal of Economics, Rand Graduate School professor, and former director of Rand's Defense Manpower Research Center. Michael Mattock (M.S., Social Science, California Institute of Technology) is an economist at Rand whose research interests include computational economics and modeling decisionmaking under uncertainty.
