Synopsis

In Why God Raised Us Up, Ryan Giffin crisply retells the remarkable story of the church's beginnings. Firmly grounding the church's roots in the biblical story of God's people and Christian history, Dr. Giffin expertly describes the people, places, and events that led to the birth of the Church of the Nazarene. From the East, West, and South, three communities flowed together into one church united around the message of holiness. Marvelously illustrated with historic photos, this book offers a concise and compelling narrative of how and why God raised up the Church of the Nazarene.
