Community justice is a phenomenon of growing interest among academics, policy makers, and criminal justice practitioners. David R. Karp is assistant professor of sociology at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He was previously a research scientist at the George Washington University Institute for Communitarian Policy Studies. He has published most recently in Crime & Delinquency, The Responsive Community, and Human Relations and has recently completed with Todd Clear a report to the National Institute of Justice on community justice.
