Frances Bissell is an established cookery writer who won the "Observer Magazine" competition for the best dinner menu to accompany Mouton Cadet wines in 1983. She is a regular contributor to "The Times", "A la Carte" and "Homes and Gardens" and her books include "A Cook's Calendar" and "The Pleasures of Cookery".
