'In 52 short chapters this book provides an introduction to the fundamentals of Christian truth which will be of use with young people in particular, but also with many other believers. 52 questions from the Shorter Catechism have been selected to provide the framework for study. Each chapter consists of seven study questions on the particular topic, along with memorisation of a catechism answer and a verse of Scripture, with an Action' section designed to reinforce the truth, using puzzles, stories and a variety of dilemmas' to ponder. The chapters could be used as a daily course of study or in regular group sessions, or perhaps as both in combination. The presentation is contemporary and attractive, appealing to a wide readership. A comprehensive leaders' guide is also included. Dennis Hustedt is senior pastor of Durban North Baptist Church, Durban, South Africa. previously, he has served as the pastor of churches in Illinois and Washington in the USA. He is a former vice-chairman of the International Bible Society, has served on the faculty of the Evangelical Bible Seminary of Southern Africa and, in recent years, has been involved in spearheading the publication of numerous Christian books for use by pastors in Eastern Europe. He and his wife, Lynn, have three children.
