From the blurb - "The first edition of 'Scientific books, libraries and collectors' was published in 1954 and the third edition appeared in 1971. Instead of preparing a fourth edition it was decided, on economic grounds, to produce this Supplement covering the years 1969 to 1975. This also includes some references published as recently as 1977 but is obviously not comprehensive after 1975. It covers the same field as the main work but also includes some new authors and subjects and links up the more recently published material with the relevant pages in the third edition."
