Providing full coverage of the required subject knowledge for primary science and including links to the latest QTS Standards and the Early Years Foundation Stage, this new edition has been fully revised and brought up-to-date. A self assessment section is included to enable readers to understand their own level of knowledge and a new M level extension feature in all chapters suggests avenues for further study at Masters level. Research summaries have been updated to include the latest works in primary science and new tasks are provided throughout. This is a key text for all trainees working towards Qualified Teacher Status.
Biographie de l'auteur
Graham Peacock is Principal Lecturer in Education at Sheffield Hallam University. He has taught children across the primary and secondary age ranges. John Sharp is Professor of Education and Programme Leader for the BA/BSC (Hons) Education and Subject Studies degree at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln. He teaches undergraduate courses on both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Rob Johnsey, formerly a primary school teacher, lectured in primary science in the Institute of Education at the University of Warwick for several years. Debbie Wright is the BEd (Primary) Programme Director at Rolle School of Education, Univeristy of Plymouth. She has extensive experience of primary teaching, and of lecturing in primary science education.
