Synopsis

Motorcycle history is dominated by the famous makes and models, but there have been many great inventions that never reached the spotlight. In the shadows, behind the popular bikes, is the construction and creation of lesser-known, sometimes wacky motorcycles. These designs missed out on success for a number of reasons; lack of resources, technology or simply bad luck, but this book pays tribute to weird and wonderful bikes neglected by history. Accompanied by the best part of 500 photographs, this collection includes racing bikes, road bikes, unusual engines, sidecars and scooters, amounting to an attractive and well-designed package.
