Synopsis
These 20 catchy raps introduce primary school pupils to key words and phrases for popular French topics: animals, family, food, weather, numbers, classroom items.
The specially written raps provide an enjoyable, natural and stress-free way for pupils to learn the rhythm, intonation and pronunciation of the French language. Children will love singing along to the raps and will pick up perfect French pronunciation and essential vocabulary effortlessly.
They can be used to supplement any scheme of work, or can become the focus for a mini-topic using the extension ideas in the teacher's book.
The accompanying CD contains recordings of the raps, sung by native French speakers, as well as backing tracks to enable children to make up their own versions. The PowerPoints on the DVD-Rom make it easy to introduce the vocabulary for the rap and teach the rap itself.

Lynn Dryden worked as a French teacher for 37 years. She was head of department for 17 years and a Primary Languages Advanced Skills Teacher for 6 years in Newcastle upon Tyne. She is also a qualified dance teacher and taught dance for 20 years.
She now runs workshops for PGCE students studying to be language teachers.
