Synopsis

The construction industry is under pressure to improve its environmental performance, not just from legislators and environmental watchdogs, but also from clients and their professional advisers. But how can information about complex issues be transmitted successfully to all levels of a construction organization? This pack sets out to answer this question. The pack is a comprehensive resource, intended for use by non-specialists as well as experienced trainers. It contains all the materials necessary to generate a variety of training programmes: 142 PowerPoint slides and trainer's notes, case studies, quizzes, delegates' checklists, feedback forms, a blank training certificate and trainer's guide. Also incorporated in the pack are a 15-minute video and one copy each of CIRIA publications C502, C503 and poster C502P. The main pack materials are provided on CD-ROM, from which the trainer can produce acetate overheads and copies of delegates' materials. Subjects covered include: introduction to environmental issues, site management, water, waste, noise, dust and emissions, wildlife, archaeology and construction processes.
